808 Robotics was conceived by two moms, during a boat ride on a field trip, trying to figure out how home schooled kids could compete in robotics without the benefit of an educational institution.

During our first year of competition, we exceeded all of our expectations by winning several local Excellence Awards and was in the top 10 in the world for programming and robot skills. To conclude our first season, 808 Robotics made it to the World Championships in Anaheim, where we won the divisional Excellence Award. 

Since that first season, we’ve been to two more World Championships and graduated five team members; two pursuing careers in Mechanical Engineering, one in Automotive, and two pursuing careers in Psychology.  Our team currently consists of 3 boys and 2 girls who look forward to competing in the upcoming State Championships. 

We aim to continually develop and nurture our team's love for STEM and encourage hard work and dedication.

We honor God in all that we do. We emphasize competition with humility and service to others. We consider all VEX teams as our family (Ohana) and our members try to visit as many teams as possible during tournaments and help others wherever we can.

Success in VEX robotics is a Journey, not a destination to arrive at. We're always learning, growing, sharing, and having a lot of fun.
