TEAM BIOGRAPHIES

Hi, my name is Lauren Yamamoto. I'm 14 years old, am in the 9th grade, and have been home schooled my entire life. This is my 6th year in VEX Robotics. I started as a scout, then was in charge of batteries and check lists, then I was appointed as head scout. Now, I am the team's documenter, programmer, and one of five co-builders. Some of my hobbies include watching anime and cosplaying (dressing up as characters from games, shows, movies, etc..) I also enjoy reading, and playing video games. Some people think it's strange, but I really enjoy making Excel Spreadsheets and working on projects using Microsoft Publisher. Once I graduate, I plan on either getting a degree in mechanical engineering, or learn about architecture and construction so that I can restore old houses to their former glory. (I enjoy construction too.)

Hello my name is Emi Yamamoto and I'm in 7th grade. I have been doing robotics for 6 years. My jobs include scouting and website designer. My other interests besides robotics are softball, manga, and anime.

Hi there!  My name is Blane Inayoshi, and I'm fifteen years old.  I just started the tenth grade, and I've been on team 4109 for two years.  Joining robotics two years ago was a great experience for me.  I love learning about robotics, and basking in the competitive atmosphere of tournament, and working with my good friends on the team.  In the past years, I've learned so much which includes driving, wiring, building, gear ratios, and figuiring out "how things work".  I have other interests as well, such as perfecting my yo-yo skills, and playing on my Xbox.  One day, I will become an engineer.

Hello my name is Jonathan Young, I'm 13 years old, in the 8th grade and I am home schooled. This is my second year on 808 Robotics. I joined robotics because I liked the sound of programming and building robots. My hobbies include playing soccer, drawing, and playing games. I also play the French horn.

Hello, let me introduce myself.  I'm Micah Africano and I just turned sixteen.  I'm a junior and I have been in VEX Robotics for the last two years now.  I joined the team late my first year because I had just found out about it halfway through the season.  I have always been interested in robotics and have wondered how they work.  I'm pretty good with my hands and really enjoy building things.  This year I was able to help build the robot from start to finish, which was nice.  What I find the most challenging in robotics is the constant challenges that arise in the process.  Fortunately, I have great teammates, and together we find ways to solve those problems.  Now that most of the hard work is done, I can spend more time on my other interests such as gloving, cooking, plucking on my ukulele,  playing video games, and keeping up with my anime series.
